ScreenMirror is an Android application that allows users to view and control their Android device screen from a PC browser over the user’s local Wi-Fi or local network.
ScreenMirror is designed to work locally. The app does not require account registration and does not upload the user’s screen, keyboard input, or remote control activity to the developer’s cloud server.
1. Data Collection
ScreenMirror does not collect, store, sell, or share personal data with the developer or any third party.
ScreenMirror does not collect account information, contact information, location data, photos, files, browsing history, messages, or personal identifiers.
The app processes screen sharing and remote control actions locally on the user’s device and local network.
2. Screen Sharing
ScreenMirror uses Android MediaProjection permission to capture the device screen only after the user explicitly starts a screen sharing session and approves the Android system screen capture prompt.
Screen content is streamed locally from the Android device to the user’s own PC browser over the same local network.
ScreenMirror does not record, store, or upload screen video to the developer’s server.
3. Session PIN and Local Access
ScreenMirror uses a temporary session PIN to protect screen viewing and remote control access.
A new PIN is generated when the user starts a screen sharing session. The PIN becomes invalid when the user stops screen sharing, exits ScreenMirror safely, or when the Free session limit ends.
Users should only share the session URL and PIN with devices they trust on their local network.
4. Free and Pro Modes
ScreenMirror may provide Free and Pro modes.
In Free mode, screen sharing sessions may be limited in duration, and some advanced features such as higher stream quality, Bluetooth audio shortcut access, or desktop viewer support may be unavailable.
In Pro mode, users may access additional features such as extended or unlimited sessions, higher stream quality options, Bluetooth audio shortcut access, desktop viewer support, and other advanced features.
These feature limitations do not change ScreenMirror’s privacy practices. ScreenMirror does not collect or upload personal data in either Free or Pro mode.
5. Accessibility Service
ScreenMirror uses Android Accessibility permission only to perform remote control actions requested by the user from their PC browser during an active remote control session.
Accessibility permission is used for:
- Tap and swipe control
- Keyboard text input
- Back, Home, and Recent actions
ScreenMirror does not use Accessibility permission to collect personal data, read private messages, monitor user behavior, perform unauthorized actions, or access sensitive information without the user’s command.
Users can disable Accessibility permission at any time in Android Accessibility Settings.
6. Local Network Access
ScreenMirror runs a local HTTP server on the Android device to provide screen viewing and remote control features to devices on the same local network.
The app does not use an external cloud server for screen sharing or remote control.
Users should only use ScreenMirror on trusted Wi-Fi or local networks.
7. Bluetooth Settings Shortcut
ScreenMirror may provide a shortcut to Android Bluetooth Settings to help users connect their phone to a Bluetooth speaker or PC Bluetooth receiver for audio output.
ScreenMirror does not scan, pair, or connect Bluetooth devices automatically.
Audio is not transmitted through the ScreenMirror browser stream. Bluetooth audio routing is handled separately by Android and the Bluetooth devices selected by the user.
8. Data Storage
ScreenMirror does not store screen recordings, screenshots, keyboard input, browsing content, or remote control history.
ScreenMirror may store basic local settings and app state on the user’s device, such as temporary session state, app mode state, and other preferences required for the app to function.
These settings remain on the user’s device.
9. Internet Permission
ScreenMirror uses the Android INTERNET permission to provide local network streaming and control features.
This permission is used for communication between the Android device and the user’s PC browser on the same local network. It is not used to upload screen or control data to the developer.
10. Third-Party Sharing
ScreenMirror does not sell, share, or transfer user data to third parties.
11. User Control
Users can stop screen sharing at any time by tapping Stop Screen Share in the app.
Users can safely close ScreenMirror by tapping Exit ScreenMirror.
Users can disable Accessibility permission at any time in Android Accessibility Settings.
12. Children’s Privacy
ScreenMirror is not designed to knowingly collect data from children.
The app does not collect personal information from any user.
13. Security Notice
Because ScreenMirror provides local screen sharing and remote control, users should use it only on trusted Wi-Fi or local networks.
Users should not share their session PIN or screen sharing URL with untrusted people or devices.
